Jewelcrafting recipes, called designs, are used by jewelcrafters in order to create rings, necklaces, trinkets, and also cut gems which can be set into sockets on armor and weapons. Many designs are taught by Jewelcrafting trainers, while other patterns may be purchased from a vendor, obtained as loot, or given as a reward for completing a Jewelcrafting quest. The acquisition of some patterns requires a level of reputation with certain factions, which can be viewed in the Jewelcrafting faction recipes table.
Those wishing to obtain the highest level recipes, should complete the jewelcrafting daily quests in Stormwind or Orgrimmar, as many designs are token based and cannot be otherwise acquired. See Isabel Jones in Stormwind or Marith Lazuria in Orgrimmar for a complete listing of the available designs and costs.
