Jonas Cobb, nicknamed Old Cobb, was the cook of the Wavestrider. He had an assistant, 10 year-old-boy named Keelhaul Watt. Being one year away from completing his contract on the ship, Jonas betrayed the crew to Malus and the Hidden by giving them information about the ship. His suspicious behavior was noticed by Aram when Jonas mysteriously disappeared in the woods during the trade with the gnolls of the Grimtail clan. Aram later found Jonas in the captain's deck as well as speaking with a cowled man in Flayers' Point. Aram told about these to his father who immediately understood that Jonas has betrayed them. Leaving Old Cobb behind, the Wavestrider left the port, hoping to lose any potential ambushers. Ultimately, Jonas joined Captain Malus on his ship and attacked the Wavestrider. During the fight, he chased his former assistant, Keely. Once Aram attacked the betrayer, Keely rushed to help Aram but Old Cobb heard Keely's approach and stabbed the boy, killing him instantly. He then resumed attacking Aram but was eventually crushed by mast, cut by the Hidden ogre Throgg. Aram took his cutlass.[1]
