Kalasan was once a Forsaken messenger to the banshee Queen, Sylvanas Windrunner. Upon finding evidence of communication between a traitor in Undercity and Kel'Thuzad, he went to tell Sylvanas of his suspicions, leading him only to Varimathras, Sylvanas' traitorous advisor. Varimathras killed Kalasan in order to keep his communications unknown.
