Katak the Defeated is a yaungol imprisoned at Fire Camp Osul in Townlong Steppes. In the aftermath of Gong Da's defeat, he challenged Jung Duk for leadership of the Osul tribe, but was defeated through treachery. Three of his fellow tribesmen, once his brothers, betrayed him; Battat, who slipped a dagger into his side, Ku-Tong, who bent his spear, and Urang, who poisoned his drink.[1] He heckles Jung Duk when he is challenged, and is relieved by his death.[2]
