In an alternate timeline where Thrall died as an infant, years after the Battle of Blackrock Spire, Korialstrasz (in the high elven form of Krasus) was still an archmage of Dalaran. While he disliked the necessity of being away from his mate, Alexstrasza understood his duty. He worked in a smaller chamber than he should have and did tasks worth an apprentice because it appealed to his scholarly, magical soul.
At some point, his apprentice, Devi announced him two visitors - Taretha Foxton and Thrall. To gain an audience, they showed him an acorn from an Ancient. Despite not being a bronze dragon, Krasus was still able to help Thrall realize that his perception of time was illusionary, leading to the orc finding the missing Nozdormu.[1]
