Kraz was one of the NPCs that players saved while doing the Timed Event in Zul'Aman. Players saved him by killing the Dragonhawk aspect boss Jan'alai before the timer ran out.
Once freed, he armed a bomb on the nearby chest, blasting it open and causing players standing nearby to get a small knockback. The loot given depended on the order the players killed the bosses in, more info can be found at the Zul'Aman timed event page.
In the expansion World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, Kraz moved from Zul'aman to Northrend as a quest giver in a small camp on the Northeastern area of Grizzly Hills. Fellow Zul'aman timed event prisoner Harkor can also be found at this camp.
