Darkvein in World of Warcraft.
Lady Inerva Darkvein is a venthyr boss located in the Purloined Stores in Castle Nathria. She is the last boss of the castle's north wing. Darkvein is the keeper of the massive stores of anima that Denathrius has stolen from the Shadowlands and will protect what she sees as her master's possessions with her life.
Darkvein is a serious step-up mechanically from the previous bosses in the wing, with a larger emphasis on personal actions. Should one person not properly perform mechanics such as soaking the Bottled Anima or failing to properly connect Anima Webs, it can potentially lead to a wipe on the whole raid. While Darkvein retains the same set of abilities from start to finish, the abilities will become empowered depending on which of the 4 anima containers are currently being vented. These containers are vital to the encounter and choosing which to vent at what time will determine which of her empowered abilities the raid will have to deal with.

Notes and trivia[]
- The four adds right before the boss, Dragost, Deplina, Fara, and Kullan, each are Romanian words meaning "Love", "Full", "Without", and "Steal" respectively. It could be taken to mean, "Love fully without theft", which is ironic given the circumstances.
- Darkvein appears as a legendary warlock minion in the Murder at Castle Nathria expansion for Hearthstone. Her flavor text reads: You're so vein. I bet you think this flavor text is about you.
