Leatherworking recipes, called patterns, are learned by leatherworkers in order to craft various leather goods. Many patterns are taught by Leatherworking trainers, while other patterns may be purchased from a vendor, obtained as loot, or given as a reward for completing a Leatherworking quest. The acquisition of some patterns requires a level of reputation with certain factions, which can be viewed in the Leatherworking faction recipes table.

Faction-exclusive patterns[]
See also faction exclusive recipes.
There are six patterns available to the Alliance but not to the Horde:
[Black Whelp Cloak]
[Black Whelp Tunic]
[Herbalist's Gloves]
[Moonglow Vest] (
[5-30] Moonglow Vest quest reward)
[Raptor Hide Belt]
[Red Whelp Gloves]
There are two patterns available to the Horde but not to the Alliance:
[Kodo Hide Bag] (
[1-30] Kodo Hide Bag quest reward)
[Raptor Hide Harness]
None of the above patterns are bind on pickup, so they can be sold in the Auction Houses throughout the world, and therefore may be obtained by the opposite faction through trading on the Neutral Auction House.
Patterns requiring reputation[]
Some recipes are only obtainable after achieving a certain reputation level with a particular faction. These are also listed in the faction recipes entry.
