Legion proficiency, formerly known as Legion Master, is the seventh stage of a profession learned at the appropriate profession trainer when a character has reached at least level 78. It unlocks the use and development of profession related skills in Broken Isles related content. Not counting racial or other bonuses, it allows skill ups to a maximum of 100 points.

Profession proficiency levels fall into nine groups to learn and execute recipes organized by expansion: Classic, Outland (Bc icon), Northrend (Wrath-Logo-Small), Cataclysm (Cataclysm), Pandaria (Mists of Pandaria), Draenor (Warlords of Draenor), Legion (Legion), Battle for Azeroth (Battle for Azeroth) and Shadowlands (Shadowlands).

  • Prior to the expansion Battle for Azeroth, the Legion Master proficiency could be learned as early as level 100 and 1 skill and allowed progression gain up to a maximum of 800 points, not counting any racial or any other bonuses.
  • With only the Legion expansion purchased, no skill or profession can go beyond the Legion proficiency level.

Patch changes[]

  • Battle for Azeroth Patch 8.0.1 (2018-07-17): Each expansion now has a separate profession skill bar, with smaller caps for each expansion, instead of one gigantic profession skill bar for all expansions put together.
