Lord-Commander Arete is a level 80 elite Forsaken death knight located at Death's Rise and Onslaught Harbor in Icecrown. He is affiliated with the Knights of the Ebon Blade.
Arete gives the player quests which involve taking out the Scarlet Onslaught in Icecrown. He appears to have a deep hatred against the Scarlet Crusade and feels that, even though they might help the Ebon Blade in the battle against the Lich King, they are unworthy to exist.
