Lin was a young pandaren lorewalker that the renowned physician Yao Firmpaw fell in love with. He gifted a carved bronze mirror to her with the inscription "To my dearest Lin / My beauty, my dove / This picture of perfection / Your reflection / My love - Yao".[1] When she succumbed to a deadly fever that swept through the Valley of the Four Winds during the reign of the hozen Emperor Rikktik[2], Yao's heart was forever broken, and as a result he never married.[3]
