This article contains lore or information taken from Warcraft: Orcs & Humans and/or its manual.

Lothar can only be found in the mission The Dead Mines, in which all he does is get rescued. The only other way you can encounter him is by using a third-party save game editor and adding him to the army. If used, he proves to be slightly weak due to his low HP, but can deal a substantial amount of damage before dying.

Notes

  • Due to a bug, Lothar uses the Orc death sound, while Garona uses the Human one.[1]
  • Since Lothar appears in only one mission, in which you cannot build a Blacksmith, the only ways to upgrade his weapon and armor are by cheating, or by adding him to another mission using a third-party map editor.
  • He has only 5 HP remaining and is uncontrollable when encountered. He becomes controllable once you move a unit adjacent to him, or a Cleric casts Healing on him.
