Magister Serena is a Kirin Tor mage found at Khadgar's Tower. Alliance players seeking to build an Arcane Sanctum will work with her, and she becomes a follower for their garrison after the quest line is complete.
She is a passionate frost mage. Her counterpart, Magister Krelas, is a proud fire mage.

Notes and trivia[]
- Serena's title is odd, in that "magister" is usually a blood elf rank in the realm of magic, and is the masculine prefix besides.
- Serena appears to originally have been intended to be Abjurist Belmara at one point in development. Her voice files are listed as Belmara, and her facial features and hair color are the same as Belmara's. This was changed likely due to the fact that Belmara did not survive the events of Kirin'var.
- Her counterpart, Magister Krelas, shares the distinction of originally intending to have been a Kirin'var NPC, as he was intended to originally be Conjurer Luminrath.
- Unlike Krelas, Serena's originally intended NPC does not use her voice files as Luminrath does when fought.
- When encountering other players accompanied by Serena, their version of the NPC will appear as Kirin Tor Magus.
- When in Talador she is level 96, however, when recruited as a follower she starts at level 94.
- Serena is voiced by Tara Platt.
- She has an invisible Follower recruiting spell with the following description: Follower: Magister Serena — Serena has learned to let go of the temper she once kindled as an apprentice, and is now famed for her sharp wit and embrace of the magic arts.
