Stormrage

WoW-novel-logo-16x62.png This section concerns content related to the Warcraft novels, novellas, or short stories.

Major Mattingly was present in the Valley of Heroes when the Emerald Nightmare assaulted Stormwind. He went to Stormwind Keep to assemble reinforcements, but by the time he arrived the valley was already enshrouded by the shadowy mist of the Nightmare. Instead of returning to his squad and falling prey to the Nightmare, King Varian Wrynn ordered him to escort Tyrande Whisperwind, Broll Bearmantle, Thura, and Lucan Foxblood to the Nightmare-infested Trade District to meet with the night elf ambassador. Mattingly guarded the door while his charges accomplished their mission,[3] ultimately surviving the War Against the Nightmare.
