Mal was a soldier under Colonel Lorena. He had served in the navy of Azeroth years ago. He accompanied Lorena and her army out of Northwatch Hold. They were attacked by orcish members of the Burning Blade clan and he got injured. He was then taken to Theramore, but it is unknown whether he survived or not.
