Mannethrel Darkstar is a night elf located at Molten Shore on Mardum. He is rescued from imprisonment by a demon hunter and makes his way to Illidari Foothold, remarking that he almost lost his fight against the fel energy inside of him.[2]
While Mannethrel was recuperating at the foothold, his rescuer later attempted to teach him what they had learned from the 
[Tome of Fel Secrets] -- only to end disastrously when Mannethrel failed to contain the power and exploded in a burst of fel energy.
