Margaux is a nightborne vintner in charge of the running of the Twilight Vineyards in Suramar City.
In her managerial role, she is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the vineyards, ensuring that they continue to produce the Arcwine which Suramar depends upon. Recently, however, with the instability that has engulfed the city, Margaux's task has become significantly more difficult.
History[]
Blood and Wine[]
At the time of the Burning Legion's third invasion, Margaux served as the Twilight Vineyards of Suramar's manager. The vineyards were considered essential as they produced the Arcwine which allowed the city's citizens to imbibe the energies of the Nightwell. As a result of the unrest caused by the arrival of the Burning Legion and the Nightfallen resistance, security suddenly became extremely rigid, with armed guards patrolling the premises. Overseer Durant was charged with monitoring the vineyards' security and productivity, exercising supreme power, even over Margaux.
During this time, Margaux began to sympathise with the resistance, who aimed to depose Grand Magistrix Elisande for her pact with the Legion. Eventually, Margaux met and aided an agent of First Arcanist Thalyssra, leader of the Nightfallen, and exchanged information regarding the vineyards' condition and the status of the resistance. Margaux also helped them to procure mana wyrms to aid them in their mission.[1]
Soon after this, however, Margaux was confronted by a company of nightborne led by Durant, who accused her of treason against the Grand Magistrix. After Durant pronounced her sentence, and with a protest from Margaux cut short, she was summarily executed on the spot by the Overseer's mages.[2]
Following Margaux's death, the Nightfallen set out to avenge her, culminating in the assassination of her killer, Overseer Durant.
