This article contains lore taken from Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, the manuals, and/or official bonus maps.
Marketplaces are neutral buildings that sell items to nearby heroes.
Inventory[]
Found in several maps, the Marketplace is an area where players may buy and sell items like the Goblin Merchant. However, the Marketplace has its own stock of items, which consists of items that can be found from slain creeps on the map. For example, if a creep drops a Crown of Kings +5 on a map with the Marketplace, then you can expect the Marketplace to stock that item when you visit.
Marketplaces add new items every 30 seconds and can remove some if necessary. Marketplaces do not stock any items until 2 minutes after the game begins.
Trivia[]
- They already existed in the original Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos beta, but were only truly added in The Frozen Throne.
- There also exists a similar Fruit Stand.
Patch changes[]
- Patch 1.07 (2003-07-01): Added.
