Spell fire incinerate
  • Magic
  • Mastery: Ignite
  • Deals X Fire damage every 1 sec.
  • Duration: 9 seconds

Mastery: Ignite is the Fire Mage Mastery, improved by the mastery secondary stat. It applies a damage over time effect to targets hit by the mage's Spell fire flamebolt [Fireball], Spell fire fireball [Fire Blast], Spell fire soulburn [Scorch], Spell fire fireball02 [Pyroblast], or Spell fire selfdestruct [Flamestrike], the target burns for additional damage over 9 seconds. Ignite also procs off Spell mage meteor [Meteor] and Artifactability firemage phoenixbolt [Phoenix Flames] if the Mage is talented into these spells.

Tips and tactics[]

  • Ignite cannot critically strike and is unaffected by Haste.
  • Ignite can spread onto targets who aren't in combat, including neutral targets.
  • When Ignite spreads, the duplicate Ignite will have the same remaining duration as the original.
  • When Ignite attempts to spread to a target already affected by Ignite, it checks the other Ignite's remaining damage. If the other Ignite has more damage remaining, the spread will fail; if the other Ignite has less damage remaining, the spreading Ignite will overwrite it.
