Mirror Lake
Mirror Lake is situated in western Elwynn Forest, near an orchard. It is rather small and features a beautiful waterfall. Although Mirror Lake would be an ideal spot for swimming or fishing, the Defias bandits that infest the area make such sports hazardous.
After Azeroth had been victim to massive mystic struggles, which tore magic currents from once stable channels, the flow of magic in Stormwind City and Elwynn Forest was somehow altered. Consequently, the mages of the Wizard's Sanctum sent a mage adventurer to Mirror Lake, in order to test its water for magical properties before those who drank from it would be adversely affected.[1]
The sewers from the Stormwind Stockade exit into Mirror Lake and Varok Saurfang escaped through it. By the time of the Fourth War, Lake Crocolisks and Gutgnash appeared in the lake. Dark Ranger Lyana and the Horde champion tracked Varok through his escape route.[2]

- During the Horde War Campaign questline, there is a Waterlogged Chest on the bottom of the lake.
