A mobile non-player entity or mobile object (depending on who you ask); a computer-controlled enemy.
Often also referred to as bad guys, beasts, enemies, monsters, non-player attackers, opponents, etc. The World of Warcraft-specific term is creep, coined by [Blizzard] and first used in Warcraft III (Zerg creep notwithstanding).
