Nalmus Highmountain was a chieftain of the Highmountain Tribe and wielder of [Talonclaw] who lived several generations after the War of the Ancients. When word came that a mysterious beast was stalking the wilds of Stormheim, Nalmus took up Talonclaw and set out to tame or destroy the creature. He was sent off with a great feast, and the epic "Song of Talonclaw" was sung to bring him success in his quest. All felt sure he would restore peace and calm to the land.[1]
However, weeks passed without any word of Nalmus. A search party was dispatched, but they could find no trace of Nalmus or his spear, and several party members were lost to the mysterious beast that prowled the mists. Over the years, many other brave hunters set out to find the treasured spear, but most were never heard from again and the spear has not been seen since Nalmus' disappearance.[1]
Discrepancy[]
Nalmus' existence appears to directly contradict the Talonclaw acquisition questline, as the quests clearly show that the last known wielder of Talonclaw who set out to kill Dakarr was named Dorro Highmountain, not Nalmus.
