Naz'anak: The Forgotten Depths

Naz'anak: The Forgotten Depths is a cave located far beneath Icecrown Citadel. It is divided into two small rooms, each with a small lake at their center. They are connected by a nerubian hallway that contains the Altar of the Ebon Depths. Naz'anak has a rich biodiversity of fungal plantlife, and also has faceless ones.^[1] Matthias Lehner could also be found here.

Adventurers explored the cavern but the explosion of several saronite bombs knocked them off the rail, and into a large saronite-lined hole, falling down through a crack in the ice into the water.^[2]^[3]

Given the presence of n'raqi and nerubian architecture, it is speculated that Naz'anak could be the Icecrown exit of the Azjol-Nerub tunnel that Arthas and Anub'arak used in the mission Ascent to the Upper Kingdom.
