The Necrolord Assault is one of four bi-weekly covenant assaults on the Maw in patch 9.1. This assault focuses on Perdition Hold.

Taking part in the assault are most of the friendly players in the Necrolords, including Draka, Baroness Vashj, Margrave Sin'dane, Gunn Gorgebone, Vassili Freeshot, Rathan, Winslow Swan, Kearnen the Blade, Cutter Fin, Secutor Mevix, Plague Deviser Marileth, Felicia Night, Kevin, Bloop, Ooz, and Plaguey. The necropolis Zerekriss is seen in the Maw, sieging Perdition Hold and bombarding the Altar of Domination.

During this assault, members of the Necrolord Covenant have the portal in the Seat of the Primus that normally transports them to Zerekriss in Maldraxxus take them to Zerekriss in the Maw instead, with Twigin present to take players down to Perdition Hold.

All four of the [Quartered Ancient Ring] items for the [Nilganihmaht's Stone Ring] can be found in and around Perdition Hold during the assault. The stone ring is one of five for the [Nilganihmaht Control Ring].

Walkthrough[]

Baroness Draka says: The Necrolords march on the Altar of Domination. Join us and lead the charge!

Head to the front gate of Perdition Hold and speak with Baroness Draka:

The battle is fierce, <name>. Your skills are greatly needed.

I am ready to assist you.

Baroness Draka says: You have arrived just in time, <name>.

After picking up Draka's quests:

Baroness Draka says: Meet me in Perdition Hold when you are done.

Baroness Draka yells: The Mawsworn tremble at our might! Blood and thunder!

Pick up and complete the four available quests, then turn in to Draka, just inside:

Baroness Draka says: We must push forward! Maw Walker, signal the advance!

Use the bonus ability:

Signal To Advance — Signal troops to press the attack.

A cutscene plays - the Zerekriss moves forward and blasts open the gate to the Altar of Domination

Prime Shieldguard says: They were no match for us!

Prime Gatecrasher says: We have them on the run!

Cross the bridge to the Altar of Domination:

Baroness Draka says: Armies of Maldraxxus, to battle! Seize our victory!

In this area, players have another bonus ability:

Draka's Battlehorn 40 yd range — Signal the troops at the point to press the attack. 1 sec cast (60 sec cooldown)

Ritualist Vexicon is to the north, trying to summon an Immaterial Summons shade.

Spawn: Ritualist Vexicon says: Take shape... The hatred that fills you shall be a weapon against these foes!
Idle: Ritualis Vexicon says: You need anima to achieve true greatness, these foes shall fuel your growth!
Aggro: Ritualist Vexicon says: How dare you interfere with the ritual!
Death: Ritualist Vexicon says: You shall suffer... for this...

To the southeast is Ritualist Asmea, also trying to materialize an Immaterial Summons shade.

Idle: Ritualist Asmea says: You shall be born into battle, prepare to prove your worth, here against these outsiders!
Aggro: Ritualist Asmea says: Fresh sacrifices for the ritual!
Death: Ritualist Asmea says: The ritual... can... not... fail.

Inside the main building is Evelana The Dread, riding a winged soul eater summoned by Ritualist Grimgee:

Baroness Draka says: These vile creatures serve the Jailer. We will grind them into dust.

Spawn: Ritualist Grimgee yells: You are too late, the ritual is complete!
Aggro: Evelana The Dread says: Your little moment of heroics ends here!
Death: Evelana The Dread says: No...this can not... be!

Once the third named target dies, the assault ends:
