Necrotic Boneplate Battlegear is the tier 13 frost/unholy death knight set.

Background

The death knight tier sets are always fun to design. Traditionally black and bristling with skulls, this set was more challenging to create, as the designers called for a bone-themed set that downplayed the most iconic of skeletal components -- the skull! The Necrotic Boneplate set features bones stretched and twisted into unnatural shapes by sorcerous means.
