Olgra was an orc warrior and the wife of Mankrik. She and her husband battled a group of Bristleback quilboar in a small tauren camp in the Barrens, with Olgra holding off three Bristlebacks by herself, when they became separated. Mankrik saw her overwhelmed by the quilboar and was in turn brought down by the Bristlebacks, but was found by a tauren druid and brought to the Crossroads. From there he asked adventurers to find his lost wife, but when they found her at a hut near the Lushwater Oasis, she was already dead.[1] Mankrik later retrieved Olgra's body and buried her at the Grol'dom Farm next to a humble monument.
After her death, Olgra's soul was sent to Maldraxxus where she became a gladiator under the name Decimator Olgra. She can be found at the Burning Thicket, killing bloodlice.
Objective of[]
- [20] Lost in Battle (also known as "Mankrik's Wife")
Quotes[]
Beaten Corpse[]
- The body is that of a female orc warrior.
- It is clear that she died in battle, probably against the quilboar in the area.
- I inspect the body further.
- You turn the body over and see the marks from blades and spells upon the deceased orc -- her armor all but destroyed, her hair matted to her face.
- Based on Mankrik's description of her, there is no doubt in your mind that this was his wife.
- He will be upset by the news, but you are sure he should know the truth.
Decimator Olgra[]
- Gossip
- Their screams aren't as satisfying as quillboar, but they'll do.
In Hearthstone[]
- Olgra appears in the Forged in the Barrens expansion as part of the card mechanic for the legendary minion card Mankrik. When played, Mankrik shuffles the Olgra, Mankrik's Wife spell into the player's deck, representing how World of Warcraft players have to help him find Olgra's body in the Barrens. When the spell is drawn and players "find" Olgra, it causes Mankrik, Consumed by Hatred to appear and immediately attack the enemy hero.
- In the Murder at Castle Nathria expansion, Olgra appears in her Maldraxxi form as Decimator Olgra, a legendary warrior minion. Although she looks like an ordinary gladiator in World of Warcraft, Hearthstone gives her a unique appearance with a mix of orc and gladiator features. In the story of the expansion, Olgra is one of ten guests who were invited to a dinner party in Castle Nathria by Sire Denathrius, and consequently one of the prime suspects when Denathrius is found murdered. She accepted the invitation because she had heard rumors that Mankrik's soul was located in the Sanguine Depths and wanted to search for him; she is apparently unaware that her husband is still alive.[2] Decimator Olgra's flavor text reads: FOUND HER!
Trivia[]
- Due to the difficulty that many new players had in finding Olgra's corpse for the quest [20] Lost in Battle, the question "Where is Mankrik's wife?" became a popular and enduring meme in Barrens chat during classic World of Warcraft. For more information, see Mankrik's Wife.
- Olgra is one of the characters featured in the 2014 April Fools fighting game Blizzard Outcasts: Vengeance of the Vanquished. Her description read: "Uniquely innocuous, Olgra's ability to hide in plain sight is unmatched. She confuses friends and enemies alike with an elusive health bar and difficult-to-read maneuvers." Her abilities were "Last Place You Look", "Barrens Backdrop" and "One With the Land". Her blood type is apparently O+.
- Decimator Olgra's title, <Vengeance of the Vanquished>, is a reference to the April Fools game.
