Pandemic was a passive warlock ability, available at level 90.

The ability was removed when patch 6.0.2 turned it into a baseline mechanic for all classes for both damage and healing periodic effects (though reduced to a maximum of 30% the base duration). Though this mechanic is not officially named, it is still sometimes referred to as the "pandemic effect."

Patch changes

• Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Removed.
  
• Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Redesigned. When refreshing your periodic damage effects, duration remaining on the previous effect is added to the new one, up to a maximum of 50% the base duration.

  Previous 2-rank talent: Reduces the global cooldown of your Bane and Curse spells by .25/.5 sec. Your Drain Soul has a 50/100% chance to refresh the duration of your Unstable Affliction spell when dealing damage on targets below 25% health.
  

• Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Redesigned.

  Previous talent: Grants the periodic damage from your Corruption and Unstable Affliction spells the ability to critically hit for 100% increased damage, and increases the critical strike damage bonus of your Haunt spell by 100%.
  

• Patch 3.2.0 (2009-08-04): Now also increases the critical damage bonus of [Haunt] by 100%.
  
• Patch 3.1.0 (2009-04-14): This talent has been reduced to a 1-point talent, now grants your [Corruption] and [Unstable Affliction] the capability to critically hit.

  Previous 3-rank talent: Each time you deal damage with Corruption or Unstable Affliction, you have a chance equal to your spell critical strike chance to deal 33/66/100% bonus damage.
