Paralysis is a tier 5 Shadow priest talent that causes critical hits from [Mind Blast] to slow the target by 100% for 2/4 seconds.

Notes

• The Paralysis effect itself is physical and can therefore be dodged.

• The [Mind Spike] debuff increases the crit chance of Mind Blast on the target by up to 90%, effectively guaranteeing a Paralysis proc from every Mind Blast. When combined with [Improved Mind Blast], this can provide 4 seconds of Paralysis every 6.5 seconds.

• As a magic debuff, Paralysis can be dispelled.

Trivia

While similar in effect to a root, Paralysis in fact reduces the target's run speed by 100%. While this should have the same effect as a root, it causes some targets to continue their run animation while Paralysed.
