Periodic Destruction

Periodic Destruction is an achievement that is earned by killing all the elemental mini-bosses that can be summoned in Mardivas's Laboratory. In the course of the weekly quest [50W] The Laboratory of Mardivas players use the Arcane Reagents [Strange Volcanic Rock], [Strange Mineralized Water], or [Strange Oceanic Sediment] to activate minor and major arcanocrystals in the laboratory. The player must first activate a minor arcanocrystal (Benthic, Lithic or Pyroclasmic), then must activate a major arcanocrystal (Benthic, Lithic or Pyroclasmic), and then activate the Elemental Essence Amalgamator to summon an elemental. The combination of arcanocrystals activated determines what elemental is summoned for the player to defeat.

Strange Volcanic Rock, Strange Mineral Water, or Strange Oceanic Sediment can be looted from mobs in Nazjatar. Chance to loot these is increased by Benthic gear with the trait Elemental Instincts. Benthic Arcanocrystals are activated using Strange Mineralized Water, Lithic using Strange Oceanic Sediment, and Pyroclasmic using Strange Volcanic Rock. If a player dies during the encounter the elemental may be re summoned without consuming more Arcane Reagents.
