Plains Travelers are tauren civilians captured by the Burning Legion during the Demon Invasions. They are encaged at the Kor'kron meat camp in the Northern Barrens and saving them as an Horde adventurer would improve the score of defense against the Legion. Considering the fate of other Captured Civilians, they were probably meant to be executed or sacrificed by the demons.
