Prismatic Crystal
Prismatic Crystal Level 100 Mage talent 40 yd range 1.5 min cooldown Instant Conjures a prismatic crystal at the target location, which is attackable by only the Mage, and takes 10% () / 30% (/) additional damage. When the crystal takes damage, it instantly releases a burst of energy dealing that damage, split evenly between all enemies within 8 yards.

Prismatic Crystal is a level 100 mage talent. The crystal lasts for 12 sec. It summoned an object with the same name.

History

When this ability was initially announced, it was called Focusing Crystal and would soak damage for ten seconds, then release it over the span of 6 seconds, in addition to its current effects. This secondary element of the spell was removed some time before the announcement of the Warlords of Draenor alpha.

Patch changes

• Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Removed.
  
• Hotfix (2014-12-17): Prismatic Crystal used in PvP combat, now transfers only 75% of total damage on Critical Hits, and only 50% of total damage on Multistrikes. There's no change to the ability in PvE combat.
  
• Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Added.
