Pristine Hide of the Beast was obtained from The Beast in Upper Blackrock Spire.

Skinning The Beast requires a Skinning skill of 310. Prior to The Burning Crusade, this could only be accomplished with either the 
[Zulian Slicer] or 
[Pip's Skinner]. The Beast is now easily skinned by anyone with Master Skinning.
The Pristine Hide was a required component of several epic quests obtained from Malyfous's Catalogue in Winterspring. Some believed that the skinner who skins the Beast should get it; others preferred rolling for it, while guilds would most likely bank it or distribute it to the player deemed most in need.
