The Protectorate is a faction of ethereals formed in reaction to the obsessive search for vengeance of the Ethereum ruling class. They feel that the Ethereum are as great a threat to their existence as Dimensius, the being who destroyed their homeworld of K'aresh.

Commander Ameer of the Protectorate appears to represent their interests in Outland at the Protectorate Watch Post in Netherstorm.
