JainaWarbringers2

Jaina raising the ship in Warbringers: Jaina

Jaina's unnamed ship is a Kul Tiran battleship that formerly served her father, Daelin Proudmoore. It was presumably sung during the Invasion of Durotar. Jaina Proudmoore raised it from the bottom of the Great Sea from a location near Theramore.

She used it to travel to Lordaeron Keep during B [10-50] The Battle for Lordaeron, to Kul Tiras during A [10-50] The Nation of Kul Tiras, and to Zandalar during the Battle of Dazar'alor, where it serves as part of her encounter area.[1]

History

Jaina sought out this ship sometime prior to the Battle for Lordaeron, after retrieving her father's pendant from the Ruins of Theramore.[2]

She then used it at the battle in Lordaeron, flying it through the air using Arcane magic, and using its cannons to create a hole in the walls of Lordaeron to allow the Alliance forces through. Jaina teleported those who had gone into the throne room to it when Sylvanas Windrunner unleashed the blight. [3]

It was later seen at Stormwind Harbor when the Horde extraction team were attempting to leave Stormwind[4]

Jaina then used it to take herself and Adventurers to Boralus.[5] Its fate after this is currently unknown.

Notes and trivia

  • It is the ship seen at the end of the Warbringers: Jaina cinematic.
  • In game, it has a slightly unique model compared to the other ships of the same class, noticably having a different design for its prow, and having bits of algae or sea weed clinging to it in several places.
    • Despite its unique model, it lacks the Siren figurehead present in cinematics
    • It also differs consideranly from its appearance in the Warbringers cinematic, as there it has four masts instead of 3.

Speculation

Questionmark-medium
This article or section includes speculation, observations or opinions possibly supported by lore or by Blizzard officials. It should not be taken as representing official lore.

Daelin's flagship?

  • this ship may have been Daelin Proudmoore's actual flagship, given its unique design and the fact that Jaina specifically sought it out. It has yet to be confirmed however.

Scuttled or sunk?

  • It is unknown how this ship in particular ended up at the bottom of the sea. While in the Warbringers cinematic Jaina is shown going through many shipwrecks from a battle, this ship seems to be completely intact, and seemingly still sea worthy.
  • Its unknown if repairs had to be done in Stormwind or not to make it seaworthy, but this seems somewhat unlikely as evidence of algae or seaweed are still clearly present.
  • if another ship sank it it was in all likely hood Horde vessels. However, if it was scuttled meaning forcibly sunk on purpose, which is possible given its seemingly good shape, then its possible Jaina was the one who sunk it.
    • It is also noteable that it seemed to be a great distance from the other wrecks, though its unknown if those were wrecks from Daelin's fleet or from the later Battle of Theramore
