[Ravage].

Tips and tactics[]
- When coupled with abilities such as
[Ravage], Prowl is a powerful opener to combat. - Night elves can switch from Prowl to [Shadowmeld] without being seen "in between". Since patch 4.0.6 they can also switch from [Shadowmeld] to Prowl directly as [Shadowmeld] can be used in Bear Form and Cat Form without shapeshifting into caster form.
- It is possible to [Dash] while Prowling, for a total of 105% standard running speed.
- Prowl makes stealth runs possible, but watch out for stealth-detecting mobs!
Patch changes[]
- Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Now learned at level 13 (was 16).
- Patch 7.3.0 (2017-08-29): Cooldown reduced to 6 seconds (was 10 seconds).
- Patch 7.2.0 (2017-03-28): Prowl's animation has been changed. Moving in stealth now uses the normal animation for walking and running.
- Hotfix (2016-10-25): Prowl should once again have the correct stealth effectiveness.
- Patch 7.1.0 (2016-10-25): Now learned at level 16 (was 5).
- Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): No longer reduces movement speed by 30%. Now learned at level 5 (was 6).
- Hotfix (2016-07-22): Prowl and Dash can now be activated while the Druid is in Cat Form or Bear Form.
- Hotfix (2015-06-26): Prowl can now be used while the Druid is sitting.
- Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Will now also activate Cat Form if not used in it. Now learned at level 6 (was 10).
- Patch 4.2.0 (2011-06-28): Prowl now once again begins its cooldown once the druid leaves Prowl.
- Patch 4.1.0 (2011-04-26):
- Now has a new icon.
- The cooldown of Prowl now starts when the ability is used, instead of when it is cancelled.
- Patch 4.0.6 (2011-02-08): Prowl is no longer broken by enemies using [Demoralizing Shout] or [Demoralizing Roar].
- Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Now learned at level 10 (was 20).
- Patch 3.3.0 (2009-12-08): This ability no longer has multiple ranks and penalizes movement speed by 30%.
- Patch 3.0.8 (2009-01-20): Rank 2 level requirement lowered from 40 to 30.
