Rank 2	Purifying Blast has a chance to immediately annihilate any specimen deemed unworthy by MOTHER. Purification Protocol now also heals you for Z every 2 sec for 8 sec.
Rank 3	When an enemy dies within Purifying Blast's beam, your damage is increased by 10% for 8 sec. Purification Protocol damage increased by 25%.
Rank 4	Purifying Blast gains an enhanced appearance.

Purification Protocol is an Azerite Essence obtained through the Rustbolt Resistance reputation faction. This essence can only be used by damage specializations.

• Rank 2 is learned from Targeted Purification Protocols, purchased for 8  [S.P.A.R.E. Crate]s and 4  [Galvanic Oscillator]s from the Stolen Royal Vendorbot. Requires Honored with the Rustbolt Resistance.
• Rank 3 is learned from Enhanced Purification Protocols, purchased for 20  [S.P.A.R.E. Crate]s and 8  [Galvanic Oscillator]s from the Stolen Royal Vendorbot. Requires Honored with the Rustbolt Resistance
  • Players who have learned Rank 3 of Purification Protocol, [Nullification Dynamo], or [The Well of Existence] on any character have the option to purchase this item for 2,500 [Echoes of Ny'alotha] from MOTHER in the Chamber of Heart.
• Rank 4 is learned from Ultimate Purification Protocols, rarely looted from  [Rustbolt Supplies], the Paragon cache for the Rustbolt Resistance.

Patch changes

• Patch 8.3.0 (2020-01-14): Reputation requirements to purchase ranks 1, 2, and 3 reduced to Friendly, Honored, and Revered (was Honored, Revered, and Exalted). In addition:
  • Rank 1 now costs 2 S.P.A.R.E. Crates and 1 Galvanic Oscillator (was 2 S.P.A.R.E. Crates and 2 Galvanic Oscillators).
  • Rank 2 now costs 8 S.P.A.R.E. Crates and 4 Galvanic Oscillators (was 20 S.P.A.R.E. Crates and 10 Galvanic Oscillators).
  • Rank 3 now costs 20 S.P.A.R.E. Crates and 8 Galvanic Oscillators (was 40 S.P.A.R.E. Crates and 15 Galvanic Oscillators).
    
• Hotfix (2019-07-31): Fixed an issue that sometimes prevented players from gaining the damage bonus from the Rank 3 Purification Protocol/Major effect.
  
• Hotfix (2019-07-19): Purifying Blast's Rank 2 effect no longer causes an annihilated enemy to trigger [Bolstering], [Bursting], or [Sanguine] affix effects when it dies.
  
• Hotfix (2019-07-16): Purification Protocol/Minor heals for 50% less in PvP situations.
  
• Hotfix (2019-07-09):
  • Rank 2 of Purifying Blast can no longer annihilate a quest objective enemy.
  • Purification Protocol no longer breaks stealth when it heals the caster.
    
• Hotfix (2019-07-02): Fixed a bug preventing Purification Protocol's Minor Power from correctly generating threat when damaging enemies.
