PvP rewards

PvP rewards or PvP gear is gear (armor/weapons/trinkets, etc) designed for Player vs. Player (PvP) combat. PvP gear can be purchased using either [Honor Points] or [Conquest Points]. Some older gear can be purchased using specific PvP tokens awarded by completing outdoor PvP objectives.

PvP gear provides superior stats and bonuses for PvP combat, and is the optimal gearing choice for engaging in PvP. PvP gear serves as the primary form of progression for players in PvP, with acquiring a set of competitive PvP gear significantly improving a player's performance in this type of play. In comparison, PvP gear is sub-optimal for engaging in PvE content.

Obtaining PvP rewards

• [Honor Points] are used to buy lower tier PvP gear. They are obtained by doing world PvP and unrated battlegrounds.
• [Conquest Points] are used to buy higher tier PvP gear. They are obtained by doing rated and daily battlegrounds and ranked arena matches.
• Other PvP tokens are awarded by completing related PvP objectives, and are only used to purchase rewards from the vendor(s) related to that specific objective.
• PvP gear can also be obtained from some other sources, such as drops from certain world bosses.

Most PvP rewards can be purchased from PvP quartermasters in Champions' Hall, Stormwind (Alliance); Hall of Legends, Orgrimmar (Horde); or the Underbelly, Dalaran (Horde and Alliance). These rewards are updated each Arena Season.

Vendors for outdoor PvP objectives are available near their battle zones. These rewards do not change.

Vendors with gear for lower levels are located outside of the entrances of Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin, and Alterac Valley, and inside the Alterac Valley battleground. These rewards do not change.

Arena Seasons

Main article: PvP Season.

Each Arena Season brings a new set of rewards. The newest, highest level gear will be available for purchase with [Conquest Points], from Conquest and Glorious Conquest Quartermasters, located in Champions' Hall, Stormwind (Alliance); Hall of Legends, Orgrimmar (Horde); or the Underbelly, Dalaran (Horde and Alliance).

With the onset of a new season, the last season's gear will become available for purchase with [Honor Points], from Honor Quartermasters, also located in Champions' Hall, Stormwind (Alliance); Hall of Legends, Orgrimmar (Horde); or Underbelly, Dalaran (Horde and Alliance). For example, with the start of Season 11, Season 11 gear will be purchasable with [Conquest Points] while Season 10 armor would be purchasable with [Honor Points].

The newest season's pants and gloves also drop from Alizabal in Baradin Hold.

The current Arena Season is Season 11, which started December 6, 2011.

• Season 3 - Main-set and weapons sold from PvP vendors in Area 52. Select off-sets also purchased from Olus and Soryn on the Isle of Quel'Danas for Tier 6 tokens. Weapons require the Gladiator Feat of Strength associated with this season.
• Season 4 - Bought with honor from faction PvP vendors in Stormwind and Orgrimmar or from  Krixel Pinchwhistle in Area 52 in Netherstorm.

During this expansion four seasons were played.

• Season 5 - Purchased from various vendors in Dalaran with [Justice Points]. Hands/Legs/Chest are also dropped from 10/25 man Archavon the Stone Watcher and 10 man Emalon the Storm Watcher. Weapons no longer available.
• Season 6 - Purchased from various vendors in Dalaran and the Argent Tournament Grounds for [Justice Points]. Most pieces are also dropped from 25 man Emalon the Storm Watcher and 10 man Koralon the Flame Watcher. Weapons no longer available.
• Season 7 - Purchased from various vendors in Dalaran. Most pieces are also dropped from 25 man Koralon the Flame Watcher and 10 man Toravon the Ice Watcher. Weapons no longer available.
• Season 8 - Purchased from Arena vendors in the Dalaran Sewers and faction PvP vendors in Stormwind and Orgrimmar. Most pieces are also dropped from 25 man Toravon the Ice Watcher.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm (Level 85)

During this expansion three seasons were played.

• Season 9 - Chest, head and shoulders and off-set no longer available to players. Legs and hands drop from Argaloth in Baradin Hold.
• Season 10 - Chest, head and shoulders and off-set no longer available to players. Legs and hands drop from Occu'thar in Baradin Hold.
• Season 11 - Removed from vendors in 5.0. Will be reintroduced to vendors in Dalaran along with previous Cataclysm season sets in patch 5.1

World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria (Level 90)

• Season 12 - Purchased from PvP vendors in Townlong Steppes for the Horde and Dread Wastes for the Alliance. Conquest set also drops from Sha of Anger in Kun-Lai Summit.

Titles

At the end of each Arena season, players that rank among highest ratings within the 3v3 and 5v5 brackets are awarded titles marking their accomplishments. Team members who have been in at least 20% of a top Arena team's matches and are within 100 personal rating of the team's rating, in each Battlegroup, will receive a title according to their standing (highest to lowest):

Arena Tournament titles

Every year an Arena Tournament is held where players of all battlegroups compete against each other for cash and prizes. If players meet the prize eligibility requirements, they will receive a title according to their standing:
