Rak'shiri is a rare saber cat found near Frostsaber Rock in Winterspring.
Abilities[]
Terrify — Terrifies an enemy, causing it to flee in fear for 3 sec. Only 1 target can be terrified at a time.
Strategy[]
Hunters often seek to tame Rak'shiri for its striking appearance, which was shared only with Shy-Rotam, who before patch 2.3, was a Horde-exclusive quest-spawn. They are based on mount skins, thus when originally viewed in the hunter's Pet window, the model was placed lower than normal pet models, since the viewer was leaving room for a rider to be shown.
Although Rak'shiri's only known move is 
[Terrify], she will get into a rage if the kittens are killed.
Of note is that Rak'Shiri is mentioned as prey of the all-time famous dwarven game hunter, Hemet Nesingwary. According to his Outland hunting buddy, Shado 'Fitz' Farstrider, he and Hemet met as rivals both attempting to catch this mighty cat, and ended up making a friendly competition out of it. (Which, according to Farstrider's regret, was also the event that gave him the title "Fitz".)
Cataclysm[]
For a while after Cataclysm, Rak'shiri's hide became white instead of aqua, although she retained her stats as a rare spawn. Her eyes were also the same color as the white tigers and snow tigers in the real world. It was later switched back to the original color. Her Terrify attack remains the same.
Patch changes[]
- Patch 4.1.0 (2011-04-26): Skin changed back to aqua.
- Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23): Skin changed from aqua to white. Stats changed. Level changed from 57 to 53.
