Relics of a Fallen Empire is an account-wide exploration achievement earned for delivering the  [Restored Hakkari Bijou] to Rin'wosho the Trader in Dazar'alor on Zandalar.

Walkthrough

The  [Shattered Hakkari Bijou] at the base of the gong in the basement of the Altar of the Blood God

Enter Heroic Zul'Gurub, then kill any two bosses to unlock access to Jin'do the Godbreaker. Zanzil and High Priestess Kilnara to the north are good options, but any two bosses will do.

Head to the Altar of the Blood God on the central island, but instead of going up the stairs to start the Jin'do encounter, go around the sides and enter the base of the pyramid. In the southeastern corner of the room, look for and loot the  [Shattered Hakkari Bijou] on the ground beneath the large gong. Remember this location as it will be necessary to return here during the Jin'do encounter.

Go up to the top of the pyramid, killing at least one of the dire trolls on the way, and start the Jin'do encounter. Deplete Jindo's health bar and he'll go immune, sending players to the spirit world. Return downstairs to the gong and loot the  [Fragmented Hakkari Bijou] from the same spot at the base of the gong. Head back to the Jin'do arena and complete the encounter by dragging a Gurubashi Spirit dire troll from downstairs over Hakkar's Chains and letting it cast Body Slam on them to break their immunity shields.

Combine the two fragments to form the  [Restored Hakkari Bijou], which immediately starts the  [1-70] Restored Hakkari Bijou quest. Turn in to Rin'wosho the Trader at ^{[55.0, 86.8]} in the Grand Bazaar of Dazar'alor on Zandalar. Alliance players should fly in from the south and immediately head for Rin'wosho's room on the second layer. Complete the quest to earn the achievement and unlock old ZG20 recipes.

The  [Brazier of Madness] toy

With the achievement earned, enemies inside Zul'Gurub will start dropping bind-to-account Hakkari Bijous and unbound Coins of the Tribes. Those coins can be traded in for a  [Zandalar Bargaining Token] from Rin'wosho, who has set up shop immediately inside the instance and trades those items for the same recipes he sold pre-Cataclysm.

Additionally, the  [Brazier of Madness] toy is found at ^[61, 46] on the north side of the altar in the Cache of Madness. Alchemists with 300 skill in Classic Alchemy can also interact with the Tablet of Madness nearby to learn how to craft  [Gurubashi Mojo Madness]. Use the madness on the campfire spawned by the toy to succumb to the madness for an hour, turning all mobs friendly and allowing access to the four Tribute Piles in the instance, located at:

• ^[52, 57] next to High Priest Venoxis's spawn point at the Coil
• ^[61, 82] near Bloodlord Mandokir's spawn point in Mandokir's Domain
• ^[47, 23] at the very bottom of High Priestess Kilnara's room in the Temple of Bethekk
• ^[30, 20] on the northwestern wall of Zanzil's area on the Devil's Terrace

Offer a bijou to those tribute piles to acquire an ancient pattern for various troll-related quests and drops that are no longer otherwise available.

Fish at Gahz'ranka's original spawn point at ^[55, 33] on the northeastern shore of the lake for more ancient loot with the Mudskunk Aroma present, which is cast by the fishing Gurubashi Villagers. Once a day (while buffed!) players can fish up either a  [Jostled Gurubashi Cache] or a  [Waterlogged Gurubashi Cache], either of which will award the  [Deadliest Cache] achievement.

Patch changes

• Hotfix (2023-03-27):
  •  [Brazier of Madness],  [Shattered Hakkari Bijou], and  [Fragmented Hakkari Bijou] no longer have a level requirement.
  •  [Warblades of the Hakkari, Reborn] are now bind on account (was bind on pickup) to allow anyone to acquire the appearances regardless of who their blacksmith is.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed the  [Brazier of Madness] to be lootable prior to completing Relics of a Fallen Empire.
