Remtravel's Excavation [35, 85] is named after the famous archaeologist, Prospector Remtravel. At the digsite, he has discovered a most unusual fossil of mystic properties, but the absent-minded prospector has forgotten where he put it. The digsite has also been invaded by Gravelflint troggs and huge golems which have been unearthed in the dig, and entering the excavation without the proper training can be very hazardous.
In Cataclysm[]
Remtravel's Excavation is flooded, though it still remains as a quest area.[1]
Battle for Azeroth[]
Remtravel's Excavation was initially abandoned as the Horde marched in. During the Wildbend River stalemate, the area became a battlefield.
During the Battle for Darkshore, Aman appeared and battled the murlocs. The water from the Cataclysm had been drained.
