Robb Glade is a human living in a cottage in Lakeshire in Redridge Mountains with his wife Ceya and their children, Robertson, Selya, as well as with his step-son Aramar. He is a blacksmith in the town. He left his own cottage and forge and moved to Ceya's cottage and built a new forge alongside it.[2]
He married Ceya after two years following her husband's abandonment. There were rough times with Aram and Robb at the beginning, but the boy eventually liked his step-father, even helping him in the forge. On his 12th birthday,[3] Robb bought a sketchbook for Aram because he believed in his talent. When Greydon returned and asked for Aram to join him for a year, Robb agreed with Ceya that Aram needs to see the world. Robb was the last to see Aram depart, advising him to behave.[4]
