Ry'el was a high elf ranger and a Farstrider lieutenant serving under Lor'themar Theron. He was stationed with Theron near Zul'Aman during the Scourge invasion of Quel'Thalas, and accompanied him to An'daroth. He was killed by a group of freshly-reanimated elven guardians, momentarily mistaking them for living elves.
