Rylai Crestfall is a human mage in the Alliance army, originally acting as the guardian of Archmage Overwatch tower during the campaign in Ashran in alternate Draenor. There, she defended the Overwatch and Tremblade's Vanguard from attack, using her Frost magic to hurl bolts of ice down upon invaders in either base. Rylai later served onboard the Skyguard gunship that took part in the battle for the Seething Shore against the Horde, guarding against enemy boarders.
Abilities[]
A powerful opponent, Rylai will bombard enemies within a substantial range of her tower, making assaulting these zones much harder without first defeating her. She can be reached through climbing the tower itself, although defeating her will not be an easy task. Succeeding will provide special rewards, and make inhabiting the surrounding area far easier.
In the current build, Rylai's bombardment is fairly powerful, and can kill full health cloth classes in just a few hits. She attacks every few seconds, and switches targets frequently, although she does sometimes repeatedly strike the same player, presumably due to excessive threat. Players seeking to avoid her attacks can stand where the tower itself obstructs her line of sight, preventing her from targeting them. For ranged classes, or while waiting for a group to gather to assault the enemy base, the easiest option is to stand very close to the to the tower itself. Her attacks are otherwise very dangerous for lone Horde in the area, receiving the full brunt of her wrath.

Notes and trivia[]
- On the Skyguard, she will offer to conjure food for Alliance champions.
- She is a reference to Rylai Crestfall, the Crystal Maiden, one of the heroes available in the DotA custom map of Warcraft III.
- Numerous other individuals who fought in Ashran are also present as crew on the Skyguard, including Grand Marshal Tremblade herself (the vessel's captain).
