Rymek is a blue drakonid located in the Ohn'ahran Plains.
Posing as an emissary accompanied by two Azure Dragonspawn, Rymek stated he was sent to the Emerald Gardens by the blue dragonflight to learn about and protect the gardens.[1] Merithra took him and an adventurer below to the Leafy Repose to show him the ways of the green flight. Waking the ancients and locating the dryads, they found out that one of each was slain by frost magic.[2][3] Merithra was worried that the Primalists were attacking again, and advised Rymek to be cautious as she sent the drakonid and the adventurer to aid Gerithus in his magical research further in the gardens.[4] There, Rymek asked the adventurer to kill Frenzied Grovetalon who, as he said, had tried to swoop him when he first arrived in the gardens.[5] He learned about Gerithrus's plan to bring back Ysera[6] and witnessed Gerithrus trying to reestablish the Aspect's ties to the Emerald Dream with Emerald Tears, in order to bring her closer to Azeroth. Afterward, Rymek expressed curiosity about the Ancient Bough,[7] so Merithra sent him there. He met Somnikus[8] and spoke with him,[9] while he sent the adventurer to give a crystal gifts that he had created to the guards of the bough.[10] Rymek chatted the grieving dragon up and he allowed the drakonid to see the Emerald Dream portal. He approached the portal with Gerithus and suddenly channeled frost power and transformed into a Primalist. As Gerithus realized, he knocked the adventurer back with his tail away from the portal. Gerithus and the guards were all put in ice blocks as an ice wave radiated out from Rymek and countless ice and storm elementals charged the portal.[11]
Rymek and his followers cut the dragons off from entering Ancient Bough from outside, but Merithra devised a plan not only to enter the area from the Dream, but also finish Gerithus' plan to bring back Ysera.[12] Rymek then moved to Lunedane in search of The Sisters' Tear. Ysera was indeed brought back, and she entered the bough from the Dream. With the aid of the adventurer, the entrance was made available and the dragon and druid forces entered and retook it.[13] Gerithus had seen where Rymek had gone and he quickly told his mother and grandmother. Then, they moved after Rymek to Lunedane, with Somnikus being the first to go.[14] As they entered it, they found Rymek and his forces assaulting the area.[15] Somnikus managed to get to him and stopped him from reaching the World Tree, but was defeated and left wounded on the bridge, with a Frostdrake, leading to Rymek. His two Azure Dragonspawn guards maintained two Frost Cores. Right after Somnikus' fall, the green flight arrived. When the adventurer killed the dragonspawn, destroyed the cores, and killed the Frostdrake,[16] Somnikus sent the adventurer to finish off Rymek. With the aid of Ysera's Ardenweald magic, the adventurer killed Rymek, his last words being about the mistrust of the dragons.[17]

- Glacial Whirlwind — Caster whirls its weapons violently with Frost energy, inflicting Frost damage to all enemies within 0 yards and sends out frost spikes at nearby locations, inflicting Frost damage to all enemies within 0 yards of impact every 1 sec for 8 sec.
