Sam the Wise is a pandaren brewmaster found at Shrine of Fellowship in Jade Forest.
Sam is generally to be found in the building at the western-most point of the Shrine, but every so often takes a journey to the northwestern portion, where Doji is found. When he arrives, he positions himself across from Doji, and a small event begins. Sam concludes the event by beginning his return journey.

[15-35] The Second Riddle: Fellowship, Alliance adventurers must defeat Sam in order to obtain the Metal Brew.
Sam can be seen on the Timeless Isle overlooking the Celestial Court with Yalia Sagewhisper and Ling of the Six Pools.

- Reference to Samwise Didier.
- Sam's location at the Shrine of Fellowship may be a reference to the Lord of the Rings series. In the series, the character Samwise Gamgee is part of the "Fellowship of the Ring", also the name of the first book in the series.
- Sam's first quote is a reference to the Meat Loaf song "I'd Do Anything for Love".
- Sam's fourth quote is a reference to the Swedish power metal band HammerFall. Samwise Didier is responsible for much of the band's art.
