Sanctified Wrath Level 45/50 paladin ability Passive Holy: Avenging Wrath lasts 25% longer and also reduces Holy Shock's cooldown by 40%. Protection: Avenging Wrath lasts 25% longer and causes Judgment to generate 1 additional Holy Power. Retribution: Avenging Wrath lasts 25% longer. During Avenging Wrath, each Holy Power spent causes you to explode with Holy light for (27% of Attack power) damage to nearby enemies.

Sanctified Wrath is a level 45 Holy and level 50 Protection and Retribution paladin talent.

It increases the duration of Avenging Wrath and reduces the cooldown of Holy Shock while Avenging Wrath is active.

Patch changes

• Patch 7.1.0 (2016-10-25): Now extends Avenging Wrath by 5 seconds (was 10 seconds).
  
• Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Redesigned. Now available only to Holy paladins.
  
• Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Sanctified Wrath for Protection Paladins has been redesigned. Now increases the damage of Holy Wrath by 100% and causes it to generate 1 Holy Power.

  Previous effect: Reduces the cooldown of Judgment by 50%, and causes Judgment to generate one additional Holy Power. Avenging Wrath also increases healing received by 20%.
  

• Patch 5.4.0 (2013-09-10):
  • Holy: Sanctified Wrath now also increases the critical strike chance of [Holy Shock] by 20%.
  • Protection: Sanctified Wrath now causes [Judgment] to generate 2 Holy Power instead of 1 while Avenging Wrath is active.
    
• Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Redesigned and now available to all specializations as a talent.
  
• Patch 4.3.0 (2011-11-29): Now increases the critical hit chance of Hammer of Wrath by 2/4/6%, down from 20/40/60%.
  
• Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Changed from Tier 8 to Tier 4, and from 25%/50% to 20%/40/60%.
