Sarltooth is a rare skeletal raptor located at Whelgar's Excavation Site in the Wetlands.

Prior to Cataclysm, he was a level 29 blue raptor who could usually be found in his nest at the top of the western wall of the excavation. The path up to him was in the southwest corner of the excavation.

Abilities

•  Bone Shield — Absorbs damage. 1 damage inflicted to melee and ranged attackers. 1 damage inflicted to spell casters.
•  Bone Toss — Throws a bone at an enemy, inflicting Physical damage.

The subject of this section was removed from World of Warcraft in patch 4.0.3a but is present in Classic Era.

•  Infected Wound — Increases the Physical damage taken by an enemy by 3 for 5 min.

Patch changes

• Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Now tamable once more.
  
• Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23): Level reduced from 29 to 23. Changed to a skeletal raptor. No longer tamable.
