A sensitive is a mortal born with the natural capacity to "sniff out" magic without having to resort to rituals or otherwise supernatural enhancements. Every spellcaster wield the forces of magic differently, and if one was sensitive enough, one could tell the differences from one caster to the next.[1]

Corporal Booraven of the Theramore Guard is the only character currently known to be a sensitive. The Human Expedition made ample use of her capacities during the Third War to detect the agents of the Burning Legion and find lost wizards.[2]

Three years after the Battle for Mount Hyjal, Aegwynn was able to assume that either a mage or a sensitive were looking for her as soon as a zeppelin reached her hideout in the Bladescar Highlands, indicating more sensitives than Booraven might exist.[3]
