Burning Steppes is mainly populatated with Horde players of which many Blood Elves make up the majority of the Horde. Some of the most popular classes are Paladins, Mages and Priests, least popular being Shamans and Hunters. Player population decreased from High to Recommended due to the lack of Raiding experenced players but has been increasing within the last couple of months. **Player population is now decreased to low.
Burning Steppes is a fairly mix nationality ratio and with many British, Swedish and Dutch players. ** There has been a major increase of Portuguese speaking players and guilds. With the opening of free migration, alliance side population is increasing.
PVE guild History[]
Due to low population the top guilds on the "Burning Steppes" realm we're always guilds coming from the Horde faction. The server had several semi Hardcore PVE guilds with <Nemesis> (Original guildmaster "Meren", who passed the torch to "Corin")on top during "The Burning Crusade" followed by <Adauctus> (Gm: Mooseld)
Wrath of the lich king brought more interest for PVE to Burning Steppes and new PVE guilds we're born. At this moment the server progress is being led by <Corruption>, the fastest progressing Portugese PVE guild in the world followed by semi hardcore PVE guilds as <Untamed Brutality>, <HATRED>, <Corruption> and <Vesuvius>. In August 2009 a new very promising guild joined the race aiming for server first called <Ensemble>, risen out of the ashes and formed by the core-raiders of <Vesuvius> and <Untamed Brutality>.
In September 2009, an hardcore Alliance guild <The Survivors> arrived from Grim Batol.
In February of 2010, a new dedicated hardcore guild <Guerrilla> was formed from the core members of Silent, Hand of Death, Sun Tzu and Unseen, with focus on bringing the best of the best together, and raid until the end of Wrath of the Lich King and onwards to Cataclysm.

PvP History[]
Starting in January 2010, the relatively small horde PvE guild "Band of Brawlers" made a name for themselves by mercilessly camping and raiding the Alliance Capital of Stormwind. A rather small raiding party succeeded in this, due to the low alliance population on this realm. This feat has earned the guild some notority amongst the alliance players. Prayboy and Diabless, both accomplished PvP players are usually a part of these raiding groups.
