General Information[]
Sentinels is a Role Playing server. It went online July 12th, 2006, and is on Pacific Standard Time (PST), although the physical location of the server is located in New York.
It is considered a medium population server with a large Alliance population, though the Horde are noted for being a powerful force in both endgame and World PvP content on the server.
Roleplaying on Sentinels[]
The roleplay community on Sentinels is considered to be a tightly-knit family. Random RP is hard to come by due to the server's age, but keeping oneself flagged for RP does help RPers find eachother. There are also a number of resources available such as in-game chat channels to help connect to RPers on the server and to help foster camaraderie. Server events do take place—mostly around the holidays—as well as a number of player-run taverns that run weekly across Azeroth.
Many of the server's denizens recommend that those interested on moving to Sentinels roll a character first to get a feel of the community and see if it's right for them.

Raiding on Sentinels[]
Raiding communities exist on both the Alliance and the Horde. Since Cataclysm, there has been an increase in guilds whom are exclusively 10-man raiding guilds.
According to WoWProgress, Sentinels currently ranks 231 out of 241 of all US servers in terms of server progression. There are some that lament of about the lack of cutting edge progression, but for the most part, many people on the server are comfortable with tackling content at a relaxed pace.
PvPing on Sentinels[]
Tol Barad is often under Horde control, although Alliance do get it in either the early hours of the morning, or during the weekends. Older PvP objectives generally aren't sought after by either side. However, Alliance often has Wintergrasp under their control. Horde players are also known to be more aggressive, participating in city raids against the Alliance.
